Evaluate variations, claims, interim valuations, and final accounts Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Quantity Surveying Engineer** with a strong construction background to manage quantity surveying, estimation, cost control, tendering, and commercial aspects of construction projects. The role will involve close coordination with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and management. Key Responsibilities * Prepare accurate **quantity take\-offs, BOQs, estimates, and cost calculations**. * Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications. * Conduct site measurements and verify completed quantities. * Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. * Monitor project costs, budgets, material quantities, and wastage. * Prepare and evaluate **variations, claims, interim valuations, and final accounts**. * Assist with tender preparation, commercial evaluations, and contract administration. * Monitor project progress against approved budgets and identify potential cost overruns. * Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers. * Maintain accurate records of measurements, contracts, variations, payments, and project costs. * Prepare regular cost and commercial reports for management. * Support cost\-saving and value\-engineering initiatives. Requirements * Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in **Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management**, or a related field. * **3–7 years of relevant experience** in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry. * Strong experience in **civil/building construction projects**. * Experience with BOQs, quantity take\-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations, and final accounts. * Good knowledge of construction materials, methods, labor rates, and subcontractor pricing. * Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings. * Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures. * Proficiency in **MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS/estimation software**. * Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills. * **Bahrain/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.** * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiners are highly preferred.** Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in **villa, residential, high\-rise, commercial, fit\-out, or general building construction projects** will be highly considered.
