Description

**Key Responsibilities:** * Assist in executing daily procurement activities for materials, consumables, tools, equipment, and subcontractor services as per project and company needs. * Prepare, issue, and follow up on Requests for Quotation (RFQs), ensuring all technical requirements and commercial terms are well\-defined. * Collect and analyze supplier quotations to compare price, quality, delivery time, warranty, and compliance with specifications. * Coordinate with engineering, site teams, and stores to validate material specifications, required quantities, and stock levels. * Support the creation, review, and processing of Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely approvals. * Track supplier performance, follow up on delivery schedules, and resolve any logistics delays, shipment issues, or documentation discrepancies. * Maintain comprehensive procurement records, including RFQs, quotations, POs, supplier correspondence, delivery notes, and invoices. * Update procurement logs and trackers to ensure real\-time visibility on order status, expected delivery dates, and payment progress. * Assist in evaluating and registering new suppliers to ensure they meet quality, compliance, and performance standards. * Review vendor invoices and supporting documents to confirm pricing, quantities, and contractual terms before processing payments. * Ensure adherence to company procurement procedures, ethical sourcing guidelines, and audit requirements. * Conduct basic market research for benchmarking prices, identifying cost\-saving opportunities, and exploring new suppliers. * Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement workflows, documentation, and reporting formats. * Provide administrative and coordination support to the procurement team to facilitate smooth departmental operations. **Qualifications \& Skills:** * Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or Supply Chain / Procurement Management. * 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or materials coordination within the construction or engineering sector (fresh graduates with strong potential may also be considered). * Basic understanding of construction materials and technical specifications across Civil, Structural, and MEP categories. * Good proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or procurement software is an added advantage. * Strong attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and excellent organizational skills. * Effective communication and coordination skills to work with internal teams and external vendors. * Proactive, reliable, and capable of handling multiple tasks under tight deadlines. * Familiarity with Bahrain’s procurement processes, customs procedures, and import documentation is preferred.
