**Job Title:** Cybersecurity Engineer (EDR/XDR \& Fortinet) **Contract Type:** 1\-Year Contract (Renewable, based on performance \& business needs) **Location:** Manama, Bahrain **About the Role:** We are looking for a skilled **Cybersecurity Engineer** to join our Information Security team on a **1\-year renewable contract**. The ideal candidate will have **1–2\+ years of hands\-on experience** in **Endpoint Detection \& Response (EDR), Extended Detection \& Response (XDR), and Fortinet firewall technologies**. In this role, you will help secure our financial systems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents using **EDR/XDR platforms**. * Configure, manage, and troubleshoot **Fortinet FortiGate firewalls** and related solutions. * Assist in implementing network and endpoint security controls. * Perform routine system and security checks; escalate findings and vulnerabilities. * Support the **SOC team** in incident detection, investigation, and response. * Maintain clear documentation of incidents, policies, and configurations. * Work with IT and compliance teams to align with **financial sector regulations**. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). * **1–2\+ years of relevant experience** in cybersecurity (EDR/XDR \& firewall management). * Hands\-on knowledge of **Fortinet FortiGate** firewalls (VPN, policies, configurations). * Familiarity with **EDR/XDR solutions** (Sophos, Fortinet, CrowdStrike, or similar). * Basic knowledge of **networking protocols** (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, SSL/TLS). * Strong problem\-solving skills and ability to work in fast\-paced environments. * Good communication and reporting skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Bahraini nationals are strongly encouraged to apply. * Fortinet **NSE 4 certification** or equivalent. * Exposure to **financial sector cybersecurity standards** (PCI DSS, SWIFT, ISO 27001\). * Experience with SIEM tools (FortiAnalyzer, Splunk, QRadar, etc.). **What We Offer:** * 1\-year renewable contract in a leading **financial organization in Bahrain**. * Competitive compensation package. * Training and support for certifications. * Opportunity to work with advanced cybersecurity tools.
