The Restaurant Hostess is the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. The Hostess is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring guests’ needs are met, managing reservations, and maintaining the flow of service. \*\*Key Responsibilities:\*\* 1\. \*\*Greeting Guests:\*\* \- Welcome guests as they arrive with a warm and friendly demeanor. \- Manage the seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while ensuring a pleasant dining experience. 2\. \*\*Reservation Management:\*\* \- Handle and manage reservations via phone and online platforms. \- Maintain an organized and efficient waitlist during busy periods. 3\. \*\*Customer Service:\*\* \- Answer guest inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies. \- Address guests’ needs and assist them in a prompt and courteous manner. 4\. \*\*Communication:\*\* \- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. \- Inform guests of their wait times and provide updates as necessary. 5\. \*\*Cleanliness and Organization:\*\* \- Keep the reception area, menus, and waiting areas clean and organized. \- Assist in setting and clearing tables as needed. 6\. \*\*Problem\-Solving:\*\* \- Handle guest complaints or issues with grace and professionalism. \- Seek assistance from management when necessary to resolve guest concerns. \*\*Qualifications:\*\* \- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred. \- Excellent communication a​nd interpersonal skills. \- Ability to multitask and work in a fast\-paced environment. \- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. \*\*Physical Requirements:\*\* \- Ability to stand for extended periods. \- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
