General Responsibilities** * Follow all **site safety rules, PPE requirements**, and company policies. * Attend **daily toolbox talks** and safety briefings before starting work. * Maintain **cleanliness and organization** in the work area at all times. * Coordinate with **site supervisor, foreman, and other trades** to ensure smooth workflow. **2\. Technical Duties of a Painter** * Prepare **surfaces** (walls, ceilings, wood, metal, or gypsum) for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primer. * Mix and match **paints, varnishes, and stains** according to project specifications. * Apply **paint, enamel, or coating** using brushes, rollers, or manual tools. * Ensure **even coating, correct color tone, and smooth finish** on all surfaces. * Carry out **touch\-ups, polishing, and minor rectification** after installation of joinery or fittings. * Maintain **records of paint usage** and assist in ordering necessary materials. **3\. Technical Duties of a Spray Painter** * Operate **spray\-painting machines** and related equipment safely and efficiently. * Prepare and protect surfaces before spray application (masking, covering, cleaning). * Mix and thin paints, primers, or lacquers to the required consistency for spray application. * Apply **uniform coats using airless or conventional spray systems** as per design finish. * Handle **wood, metal, MDF, and aluminum surfaces** requiring special finishes. * Clean and maintain **spray guns, compressors, and hoses** after use. * Ensure **dust\-free and well\-ventilated environment** during spray\-painting operations. **4\. Quality Control** * Follow **approved samples and color codes** provided by the designer or consultant. * Inspect finished surfaces for **runs, cracks, unevenness, or discoloration** and correct immediately. * Maintain **high standards of workmanship and finishing quality**. * Prevent **paint spillage or staining** on adjacent areas (floors, glass, furniture). **5\. Safety \& Environmental Compliance** * Use paints and thinners in **well\-ventilated areas** and follow fire safety protocols. * Dispose of **paint waste, thinner, and containers** according to environmental guidelines. * Avoid **smoking or open flames** near painting zones. * Wear **respirators, gloves, goggles, and protective suits** as required. **6\.
