




**Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor – MEP Projects (FIDIC)** **Position Overview** We are seeking an experienced **Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor** with strong expertise in **MEP projects** and **FIDIC contract administration**. The ideal candidate will manage all contractual and commercial aspects of MEP projects while controlling project costs, ensuring compliance, and protecting the company’s financial interests. **Key Responsibilities** * **Contract Administration:** Manage and administer **MEP contracts** throughout the project lifecycle in line with **FIDIC Conditions of Contract**. * **Cost Management:** Perform detailed **cost analysis, value engineering, and budget optimization** for MEP systems. * **Variations \& Claims:** Prepare, review, and negotiate **variations, claims, and extensions of time (EOT)**, ensuring protection of company interests. * **Risk Assessment:** Conduct **risk assessments** for contractual and financial exposures and implement mitigation strategies. * **Payment Management:** Oversee the preparation of **monthly payment applications** and ensure timely cash flow management. * **Dispute Resolution:** Provide expert advice on contractual matters, proactively resolving disputes to avoid escalation. * **Stakeholder Coordination:** Collaborate with **MEP engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients** to ensure smooth project delivery. * **Reporting:** Prepare and present **cost reports, financial analyses, and project performance updates** to senior management. * **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure compliance with relevant **codes, regulations, standards**, and FIDIC requirements. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor’s degree in **Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering**, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). * Professional certification such as **MRICS, RICS, or equivalent** is an advantage. * Minimum of **8 years’ experience** in quantity surveying, contract management, and MEP projects. * Proven experience in the **Middle East construction market**; GCC experience preferred. * Fluency in **English** (written and spoken) is essential; knowledge of **Arabic** is a plus. **Skills \& Competencies** * Strong technical knowledge of **MEP systems** (design, installation, commissioning). * Expertise in **FIDIC contracts, change management, and dispute resolution**. * Excellent **negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills**. * Strong **analytical and problem\-solving abilities**, capable of handling complex contractual issues. * Proactive, detail\-oriented, and able to **work independently or as part of a team**. * Physically able and willing to **visit sites** as required.
