We need exceptional talent to help us on this journey. **The Technology Team** Our Technology team builds reliable, secure, and easy\-to\-use payment experiences for businesses across the region. As a Plugins Expert, you will help merchants integrate Tap Payments with leading e\-commerce platforms by supporting plugin development, testing, documentation, and technical troubleshooting. **As a Tapster you will:** * Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Tap Payments plugins and integrations for e\-commerce platforms. * Build and maintain PHP\-based payment gateway plugins, ensuring they are secure, scalable, reliable, and easy for merchants to implement. * Develop and maintain Shopify integrations/apps and ensure compatibility with Shopify APIs and platform updates. * Integrate Tap Payments APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and payment flows into e\-commerce platforms. * Implement and support key payment flows including authorization, capture, refunds, voids, payment status updates, and asynchronous webhook notifications. * Troubleshoot and resolve technical integration issues raised by merchants, partners, and internal teams. * Work closely with Backend Engineering, Product, QA, Payment Operations, and Partner teams to deliver robust payment integrations. * Ensure plugins follow secure coding practices and payment industry standards. * Develop automated tests and ensure high\-quality releases across supported platforms. * Maintain compatibility with new versions and changes across e\-commerce platforms. * Improve the developer and merchant integration experience through better documentation, tooling, and technical solutions. * Monitor and improve plugin performance, reliability, and overall integration quality. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices. * Stay up to date with developments in e\-commerce platforms, payment technologies, APIs, and developer ecosystems. **What you will bring to the party:** * 5\+ years of professional software development experience. * Mandatory experience working with a payment gateway, PSP, fintech, acquiring, or payment technology provider. * Strong hands\-on experience with PHP. * Mandatory hands\-on experience developing for Shopify, including Shopify APIs, apps/integrations, and webhooks. * Strong understanding of payment gateway integrations and online payment flows. * Solid experience working with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, authentication, and third\-party integrations. * Experience developing and maintaining e\-commerce plugins, extensions, modules, or apps. * Strong knowledge of Git and software development best practices. * Experience troubleshooting production integrations and resolving complex technical issues. * Good understanding of SQL and relational databases. * Strong understanding of HTTP and API\-based architectures. * Knowledge of payment concepts such as authorization, capture, refunds, tokenization, recurring payments, 3DS, and webhooks. * Strong problem\-solving and analytical skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast\-paced fintech environment. * Excellent written and spoken English. **Are you ready to shape the future of payments in MENA?**
