Professional development opportunities in global supply chain management About the Role Mali Gab is seeking an organized and detail\-oriented Import Export Supervisor to oversee international trade operations, customs compliance, and supply chain logistics. In this role, you will manage cross\-border shipments, ensure full adherence to customs regulations and trade laws, coordinate with freight forwarders, and optimize shipping efficiency to support seamless global operations. Key Responsibilities * Customs Compliance \& Documentation: Prepare, review, and verify all import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations. * Logistics \& Freight Management: Oversee end\-to\-end international transportation workflows; coordinate with sea, air, and land freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers. * Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with local and international trade laws, tariff classifications (HS codes), import/export licenses, and customs regulations. * Cost Optimization \& Auditing: Audit freight invoices, customs duties, and port charges to identify cost\-saving opportunities and maintain budgetary control. * Cross\-Functional Coordination: Partner with procurement, warehouse, and sales operations to schedule timely shipments and minimize customs clearance delays. * Risk Management \& Problem Resolution: Resolve shipping delays, hold\-ups at customs, missing documentation, or cargo damage claims efficiently. Requirements \& Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. * 3–5\+ years of experience in import/export operations, customs clearance, or international logistics management. * Comprehensive knowledge of customs procedures, Incoterms, HS code classifications, and international shipping documentation. * Hands\-on experience with logistics management software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and customs portals. * Strong negotiation, problem\-solving, and team\-supervision skills. * High level of accuracy and attention to detail under tight operational deadlines.
