




MAIN OBJECTIVES* To supervise engineers and technicians who are responsible for the daily simulator maintenance. * To deliver solutions that best meet the needs of the simulator customers, which are aligned to the overall business objectives. * Responsible for the general support of the flight simulators and associated training equipment. Also responsible for the delegation and supervision of daily maintenance tasks. MAIN DUTIES **Efficient Operations** * Addresses defects recorded in the Technical Logs at the first available opportunity. * Diligently update records to record all work carried out and parts replaced. * Raises spare part requests and ensures that parts that require repair are promptly passed to Procurement for processing. * Carries out equipment Daily Readiness Checks. * Supervises, directs, and mentors Simulator Engineers and Simulator Technicians as required. * Supervises and allocates daily maintenance tasks. * Implements modifications and upgrades to simulator hardware and software under direction. * Supports projects activities as directed by Manager Simulator and Equipment Maintenance * Monitors Technical Logs and spares databases on a periodic basis to ensure that correct documentation procedures are being followed. * Continuous improvement of the department activities. * Supports STD quality control activities by monitoring feedback systems, reporting non\-conformities and taking appropriate action. * Conduct periodic testing of the Simulator as defined by EASA. **Quality of Services** * Monitor team compliance with laid down Procedures and Work Instructions. * Responsible for supervising the team and obtaining progress updates on tasks and escalating any issues to line manager. * Completing all assigned tasks requested by the line manager to ensure continuity of work within internal and external projects. * Conduct continuous knowledge sharing and internal training for the team members. * Follow up with OEMs regarding all pending defects and actions needed from their side. * Deputizing the department manager and handling his technical responsibility during his absence based on seniority * Supports the 90\-day equipment Subjective Quality Checks (SFT's) as directed by Manager Simulator and Equipment Maintenance or his designee. * Supports and audits the 90\-day equipment Objective Quality Checks (QTG runs) as directed by Manager Simulator and Equipment Maintenance. * Monitors preventive maintenance activities and ensures these are being carried out in accordance with the maintenance documentation and manufacturers recommendations. * Monitors the teams' compliance with the Academy's safety and security regulations. And ensures these are being strictly adhered to. **Other duties** * Delegates tasks to direct reportees in line with their skills, knowledge and ability. Where necessary, identify skill gaps and training requirements. * Provides coaching/ mentoring to direct reportees to develop them in their positions. EDUCATION \& TRAINING* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering/electronic engineering/IT/Software Engineering. * Advanced training in Quality systems. * Formal Training in Simulator Approval process. EXPERIENCE* 6 years of experience in Flight Stimulator Engineering. * Knowledge of written and spoken English is required. * Knowledge of programming is an advantage. * Demonstrate working knowledge of basic aerodynamics, radio navigation, and other aircraft\-related systems. * Possess and maintain extensive practical knowledge of the theories and practices of electronic circuits, computer theory, hydraulic or pneumatic control and power systems, and many other areas covering a wide range of system applications.
