We are looking for a technical office engineer with extensive experience related to metal fabrication and machine shop works. **Skills/Qualifications:** * Extensive metal fabricating blueprint reading and the ability to interpret and analyze specifications and tolerances. * Attention to detail. * Communication skills to interact with Customers, Suppliers, and co\-workers. * Knowledge of metal fabrication processes \& machine shop basic operations. **Job Role:** * Compute costs by identifying materials, purchased items, fabrication processes and time requirements. * Work with Purchasing Department to collect material costs. * Work with Engineering Department to identify optimal material utilization and fabrication methods. * Work with Production Department to establish fabrication rates and options for fabrication methods. * Maintain records and deadlines of RFQs. * Solicit feedback from Production to improve estimating accuracy. * Contribute to team effort by performing duties within the Estimating Department and other Departments, including Production, as needed. **Education:** * Bachelor or Associate degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. **Requirements:** * Demonstrate ethical behavior. * Value team accomplishments over personal/individual accomplishments. * Continually drive improvement. * Well organized with excellent time management skills. * Communicate effectively with peers, superiors and subordinates. * Desire additional responsibility and leadership. * Self\-directed, self\-reliant and resourceful. * Thrive in a fast\-paced environment. * Provide a positive influence on employee morale. * Demonstrate ownership and accountability for the goals of the organization.
