Assist with monthly/year-end closing and financial reporting Job Description We are looking for a **Junior Accountant** to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and preferably experience in the **construction or contracting industry**. Responsibilities are aligned with common Junior Accountant requirements currently seen in Bahrain job postings. Key Responsibilities * Handle daily accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records. * Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts, and other accounting documents. * Manage **Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)**. * Perform bank and account reconciliations. * Maintain petty cash records and monitor company expenses. * Assist with monthly and year\-end closing activities. * Prepare financial reports and supporting documents. * Assist with VAT and other accounting compliance requirements. * Maintain proper filing of financial and accounting documents. * Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding accounting matters. * Assist auditors by providing required financial documents when needed. * Support the finance team with other accounting and administrative tasks. Requirements * Bachelor's degree or diploma in **Accounting, Finance, or a related field**. * 1–3 years of experience as a Junior Accountant, Accounts Assistant, or similar role. * **Construction/contracting experience is an advantage.** * Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures. * Experience with AP, AR, invoicing, reconciliations, and petty cash. * Good knowledge of **MS Excel** and accounting software such as Tally, ERP, or similar. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Good English communication and organizational skills. * **Locally available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiner or available on short notice is preferred.** * Previous **Bahrain/GCC experience is an advantage.** Work Location: In person
