Key role in project scheduling, risk identification, and progress reporting Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and detail\-oriented **Construction Planning Engineer** to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in **construction planning and project scheduling**, particularly in **villa and high\-rise building projects**. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring site progress, identifying delays and variances, preparing progress reports, and supporting project management in ensuring projects are delivered according to approved timelines. Key Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and update **baseline schedules, master construction programs, and detailed project schedules**. * Prepare and maintain **Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)** for construction projects. * Develop project schedules using **Primavera P6 and/or MS Project**. * Monitor actual construction progress against approved baseline schedules. * Identify schedule delays, variances, critical activities, and potential risks. * Perform **Critical Path Method (CPM)** analysis and monitor critical path activities. * Carry out resource loading and leveling where required. * Prepare **Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Progress Reports** for management and project stakeholders. * Prepare and maintain **S\-curves, progress dashboards, and project tracking reports**. * Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, procurement, and other departments to obtain accurate progress updates. * Monitor construction sequencing and ensure project activities are properly reflected in the schedule. * Track material procurement, approvals, deliveries, and lead times that may impact project completion. * Monitor subcontractor progress and identify potential schedule slippages. * Analyze delays and assist in preparing **recovery and mitigation plans**. * Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to develop and update construction schedules. * Monitor productivity rates and assist with project performance analysis. * Provide planning support for **Extension of Time (EOT), delay analysis, and claims**. * Assist in monitoring project costs and understanding the relationship between schedule performance and project costs. * Maintain accurate planning records and ensure project documentation is updated regularly. * Provide management with timely information regarding project status, risks, delays, and recovery actions. Requirements * Bachelor’s Degree in **Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field**. * **3–7 years of relevant experience** in construction planning and project scheduling. * Proven experience in **villa and/or high\-rise building projects**. * Advanced or working proficiency in **Primavera P6 and/or MS Project**. * Advanced knowledge of **MS Excel**, including data tracking, dashboards, S\-curves, and progress analysis. * Good working knowledge of **MS Word and PowerPoint** for preparing project reports and presentations. * Strong understanding of **WBS, baseline schedules, CPM, resource loading, and schedule updating**. * Ability to read, interpret, and cross\-reference **architectural, structural, and MEP drawings**. * Good understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site execution. * Knowledge of material procurement lead times and subcontractor coordination. * Basic understanding of **Earned Value Management (EVM), productivity rates, and cost tracking**. * Familiarity with **FIDIC contracts, delays, EOT, and claims support** is an advantage. * Strong analytical, problem\-solving, communication, and coordination skills. * Good command of **English and Hindi**, both spoken and written. * Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiners are preferred.** Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be proactive, analytical, organized, and capable of working closely with project management and site teams to ensure construction activities remain on schedule. Candidates with strong experience in **villa, high\-rise, residential, or commercial building projects** and knowledge of the Bahrain/GCC construction environment will be highly considered.
