General Manager – Business Development (BD)Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a comprehensive business‑development plan aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
* Identify, evaluate, and secure new distribution channels, corporate accounts, and partnership opportunities.
* Lead negotiations with insurers, reinsurers, corporate clients, and intermediaries to create mutually beneficial arrangements.
* Oversee a high‑performance BD team, setting clear KPIs, providing coaching, and fostering a results‑driven culture.
* Collaborate with underwriting and product teams to design tailored insurance solutions that meet market needs.
* Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to adapt strategies promptly.
* Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management and the board.
* Represent Armour Insurance Services at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events.
* Ensure compliance with Bahrain’s insurance regulations and internal governance standards.
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
* Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., CIC, CII, ACII) or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
* Deep understanding of the Bahrain insurance market, regulatory environment, and key industry players.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both English and Arabic.
* Proven leadership capabilities with a track record of building and motivating high‑performing teams.
Desired Experience
* Minimum 10 years of experience in insurance brokerage, underwriting, or related business‑development roles.
* At least 5 years in a senior management or general‑managerial capacity, preferably within the Middle East.
* Demonstrated success in generating new business, expanding market share, and achieving revenue targets.
* Experience working with multinational financial groups or joint‑venture environments is an advantage.
