Provide financial insights to management **Senior Accountant** **Chinaxqm Trading SPC** **Location:** Building 280, Road 1901, Block 919, Riffa, Bahrain **Salary:** **BHD 1,700 per month** Job Summary Chinaxqm Trading SPC is seeking a highly experienced and detail\-oriented **Senior Accountant** to join our finance team in Riffa, Bahrain. The successful candidate will oversee the company's accounting operations, prepare accurate financial reports, ensure compliance with Bahrain financial regulations, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and provide financial insights to management. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong analytical skills and extensive experience in accounting within a trading or commercial environment. Key Responsibilities * Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). * Manage month\-end and year\-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. * Monitor cash flow, financial transactions, and account balances. * Prepare and submit Value Added Tax (VAT) returns and ensure compliance with Bahrain tax regulations. * Assist in preparing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses. * Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency. * Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation schedules. * Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to audit inquiries. * Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements. * Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and performance support. * Collaborate with management to support strategic financial planning and business decision\-making. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Professional certification such as **CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA** is highly preferred. * Minimum of **5 years of accounting experience**, including at least **2 years in a senior or supervisory accounting role**. * Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and Bahrain VAT regulations. * Experience in trading, distribution, or commercial industries is preferred. * Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics. * Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem\-solving abilities. * Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
