Role Overview We are seeking a skilled **Information Security Specialist** to strengthen our cybersecurity framework, monitor threats, and implement advanced security measures. The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting academic networks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting secure digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities * **Cybersecurity monitoring**: Detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents. * **Risk assessment**: Identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies. * **Policy enforcement**: Ensure compliance with institutional and international security standards. * **Network protection**: Safeguard academic networks against cyber threats. * **Data security**: Protect sensitive student, faculty, and research information. * **Incident response**: Lead investigations and recovery efforts after breaches. * **Training \& awareness**: Educate staff and students on cybersecurity best practices. * **Innovation**: Introduce new tools and technologies to enhance security posture. Qualifications * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field. * 5\+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles. * Strong knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols. * Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, and other international security frameworks. * Excellent analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills. * Experience working with academic institutions or research environments is an advantage.
