The successful candidate will balance business objectives with effective risk management while ensuring compliance with company policies and insurance regulations. Responsibilities * Review and evaluate insurance applications and supporting documentation. * Assess risks based on financial, personal, commercial, and other relevant information. * Determine appropriate coverage, limits, exclusions, and premium rates. * Approve, decline, or refer applications based on established underwriting guidelines. * Conduct risk analysis and identify potential areas of exposure. * Request additional information or documentation when necessary. * Monitor existing policies and recommend adjustments based on changing risk factors. * Maintain accurate underwriting records and documentation. * Collaborate with claims, sales, actuarial, and other internal teams. * Ensure underwriting decisions comply with company policies and applicable regulations. * Prepare reports and provide recommendations to management. * Stay updated on insurance products, market conditions, and industry regulations. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Economics, or a related field. * Previous experience in underwriting, insurance, risk assessment, or a related position. * Strong analytical and numerical skills. * Good understanding of insurance principles, policies, and risk management. * Excellent attention to detail and decision\-making abilities. * Strong communication and negotiation skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance\-related software. * Ability to analyze complex information and make sound business decisions. * Strong organizational and time\-management skills. * Relevant insurance or underwriting certifications are an advantage.
