Collaborate with project, engineering, procurement, and site teams Job Description We are looking for an experienced **Quantity Surveying Engineer** to manage the commercial and cost\-control aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in quantity take\-off, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, contract administration, variation assessment, and project cost monitoring, with the ability to work effectively with project, engineering, procurement, and site teams. Key Responsibilities \& Requirements * Proficiency in preparing accurate **cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), quantity take\-offs, and cost plans** from architectural and structural drawings. * Strong understanding of **construction material pricing, labor rates, subcontractor quotations, and commercial quotation analysis**. * Familiarity with **construction procurement procedures, supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, and vendor negotiations**. * Comprehensive understanding of standard construction **contract conditions, contractual obligations, commercial clauses, and payment terms**. * Ability to assist in drafting, administering, and managing **subcontracts and main contracts**, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. * Expertise in **site measurement, quantity take\-offs, remeasurement, and valuation of completed construction works** for interim payment applications. * Skill in assessing, evaluating, and pricing **project variations, change orders, additional works, and site instructions**. * Experience in monitoring **project expenditures, committed costs, actual costs, and budget performance**, including preparation of cash flow forecasts and cost\-reconciliation statements. * Ability to prepare **monthly commercial reports, cost reports, final accounts, payment applications, and claim assessments** for management review. * Proficiency in using **specialized quantity take\-off, measurement, estimating, and cost\-control software** alongside industry\-standard construction platforms. * Advanced command of **MS Excel** for cost modeling, quantity tracking, cost analysis, data management, and financial dashboards. * Strong ability to **read, interpret, and cross\-reference architectural, structural, and MEP engineering drawings and specifications** to derive accurate quantities. * Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, procurement, subcontractors, consultants, and management to ensure accurate measurement and cost control. * Monitor project progress against budgets and identify potential **cost overruns, commercial risks, and discrepancies** at an early stage. * Maintain accurate records of quantities, measurements, contracts, variations, claims, payments, and project costs. Candidate Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in **Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field**. * Proven experience as a **Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveying Engineer, or Commercial Engineer** within the construction industry. * Strong knowledge of **BOQ preparation, quantity take\-off, estimation, cost control, valuation, variations, claims, and contract administration**. * Experience working on **building construction projects, villas, high\-rise buildings, commercial projects, or large\-scale developments** is preferred. * **Bahrain construction experience is highly preferred.** * Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and commercial management skills. * Excellent knowledge of **MS Excel** and quantity surveying/estimating tools. * Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work with multiple project stakeholders. * **Immediate joiners preferred.** * Candidates must be **currently available in Bahrain**.
